Uru and Myst V
[edit]Uru was not only released before Myst V, but chronologically the events in the game occur before Myst V. Ergo, I'm moving Uru above Myst V. --66.229.183.101 08:14, 16 January 2006 (UTC)
Stuff to add
[edit]What other characters are important? Sirrus, Achenar, Aitrus, Veovis? -- Chucker 10:28, 2004 Jun 9 (UTC)
- Let's have articles for the currently-listed characters first before adding more links. -- Chucker 11:28, 2004 Jun 26 (UTC)
Moreover, any other topics you can think of? -- Chucker 20:31, 2004 Jun 10 (UTC)
CSS / div layout rewrite
[edit]Following is the old table-based code (except for the "float: right" part), inspired by the "Numeral systems" table. The new code tries to imitate the design, while being cleaner, more XHTML compliant, and looking more modern.

Myst:AITD
[edit]Who keeps adding this to the template? Everything I have seen says it's a hoax. Blade 17:49, 25 June 2006 (UTC)
- Looked it up, it's User:Zapperhouse. He seems to be intent on inserting it into Myst articles. Blade 17:52, 25 June 2006 (UTC)
- In fact there are several users who are propagating this nonsensical, unfunny joke. An admin has been blocking these users. --Baryonic Being 18:25, 25 June 2006 (UTC)
- A lot of Myst sites have been hit lately. I wonder if it's part of that group. Blade 22:27, 26 June 2006 (UTC)

Soundtracks
[edit]I added the soundtracks as the ages are referenced.. if you prefer the old way you're welcome to revert, just be sure to fix the colours. ¬rehevkor¬
Passages • The Book of Black Ships
[edit]It strikes me that as a) neither of these are 'official' components of the Myst franchise, and less-so b) they were frowned upon by Cyan (according to the articles), they really shouldn't be in this template. If there aren't any objections, I'll remove them. TheIslander 19:27, 26 August 2007 (UTC)
- No comments, in two months, so done. TheIslander 00:33, 2 November 2007 (UTC)
"The"
[edit]I think the word should be removed from the template as it is unnecessary. This is recommended for article names (see WP:NAME) so I believe there's no reason for this policy not to apply for template names. Thoughts? Kariteh (talk) 10:14, 14 June 2008 (UTC)
- The nature of the template's name means that it just appears grammatically incorrect and unprofessional to remove the "the". The mainspace name is not the same as the title used and displayed on the template, the guideline would apply to "Template:The Myst franchise". Removing the "The" from the title would be the same as removing the "The" from the beginning of "The Myst series is a franchise centered around a series..." in Myst (series). -- Sabre (talk) 12:49, 14 June 2008 (UTC)
Listing book names
[edit](This is not about whether information about books should be contained in the The Myst Reader article - that decision makes sense)
However, Myst Reader is not the more common name, and would confuse people trying to navigate to one of the specific books. Listing the book names in the template, while redundant at the page level, makes it clearer. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 63.249.90.91 (talk) 03:22, 24 January 2009 (UTC)
