Please change "He also played all the drum parts on his albums McCartney, McCartney II and McCartney III..." under the Drums section to reflect the fact that he did not play drums on "Slidin'" on McCartney III. See [1]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vvwqt9YvgeA, McCartney III#Personnel. AJsalt (talk) 04:35, 27 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

YouTube isn't a reliable source - do you have another one? PianoDan (talk) 20:09, 27 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
This YouTube video is on the official Paul McCartney YouTube channel and lists the personnel in the description. This is also cited as the source in the Wikipedia article I linked. Here is another source: [2]https://www.the-paulmccartney-project.com/song/slidin/. See the "Officially appears on" section to see the personnel. AJsalt (talk) 01:07, 28 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
The Paul McCartney Project is a WP:SPS which often mirrors Wikipedia. Tkbrett (✉) 01:20, 28 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Songwriting credits wrong on I saw her Standing there and Cant buy Me love

[edit]

Have a hard time undrrstanding someone who wrote a Wikipedia page about PaulnMcCartnet does not know that he alone wrote I saw her standing there and Cant buy Me love ( Maybe the minimum of input from Lennon but not more). That looks horrible in a page like this with 2 such obvious mistakes. That Paul had the title to I want to hold Your hand and he had it almost ready When John came by Jane Ashers house Where Paul lived is not that well known. So that I can understand. Abbey Road studios released information om ”I want To hold your hand”. It was Pauls love song for Jane Asher written on piano. Paul had the tittle in his Head ” I wanna hold Your hand ” Which is also in Pauls written lyrics to the song ( the publishing company did not allow ” Wanna ” so it became ” want”. Its sung wanna Anyway. Paul took the title from his own song ” I wanna be your man ” and did a variation of it. The Melody is taken from his own song ” Hold md tight ” maybe something reflecting in the title also ”hold” The text and Melody to the song was almost ready ( the song was almost conpleted) When John came there. Which also explains why McCartney told How he wrote it in detail. While John only remember the Chord on piano that Paul did that Made the song. When John came their Paul was playing Piano and John who did not play piano played Around with an organ. But its a piano song written on Piano. If you listen to the recording of the song you can hear How incredibly bossy Paul is he determines What each person should play and When. Example ” Drums come hard first followed by the guitar ”, Then he is not Pleased with the others ” No come on get it right ” someone suggests ” Maybe we can do it slower ? ” and Paul shouts out ” No ” because he knew his song in the tempo he wanted would break them in US. And The tempo Paul decided for his own song became the tempo that would break The Beatles in US. Now probably any song from the Beatles could have broken them in the US as their were 2 documentsries about them on TV anout the manus in Europe. One was sent before the assaination of John F Kennedy and the other after John F Kennedys death. Both shows were very well followed by the Americans. 213.89.143.63 (talk) 06:06, 30 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
