Fat Chicks in Party Hats
[edit]Hey, sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but now Fat Chicks in Party Hats is on the chopping block and it's not doing well. It is/was a good article about a significant and hilarious webpage. I really have no idea why people want to see it deleted. Miguel is a genius and the page is definitely big enough to warrant an article. --Aranae 05:56, Apr 17, 2005 (UTC)

Immortal Technique
[edit]Thanks for your comments on the Talk:Immortal Technique page. Unfortunately, even though the material you posted was on the web, it was still likely under copyright (see Wikipedia:Copyright for more details). In this case, I removed the copyrighted text and replaced it with my own. In general, it is a bad idea to post material you find on the web, unless you can get permission (see Wikipedia:Confirmation of permission). It goes without saying you should not claim to have gotten permission when in fact you have not. Let me know if you have any questions; feel free to write a note on the bottom of my talk page if I can be of any help. Thanks, --Hansnesse 22:24, 10 February 2006 (UTC)

Verdurin salon, Chez Guermantes
[edit]The Vedurin (a misspelling of "Verdurin") salon is a group of people held rigidly in place by the "patronne" (i.e. woman who hosts the meetings) of the group, Madame Verdurin. Chez Guermantes is a reference to the surname of a noble and socially illustrious family (the Guermantes). "Chez" is just a French word that has been added to the surname. I don't know what context it was used in, so I can't be sure of what it was supposed to mean. (It can be translated in a variety of ways, but usually means "at" or "with".) Both names are French and from In Search of Lost Time. Neither reference is "widely considered archaic or esoteric", simply unfamiliar to readers who are not familiar with French literature. The Bible and...
[edit]Hey, rather than follow you around all day placing {{context}} tags, could I ask you to put more information on the context of these articles in them? Adding an article that differs from another by two words and then repeating ad infinitum doesn't really add to the project, and does little justice for each individual topic. Saying rape is contentious verges on being a dictionary definition in scope, and these articles lack any encyclopedic merit. If these pages aren't going to have any unique information in them, they should all be merged into an article on Biblical controversy or something similar. Just something to think about, I'll leave you alone for now—I'm done my bout of new page patrol anyways. BigNate37(T) 18:12, 17 August 2006 (UTC)
No personal attacks, please
[edit]Please see Wikipedia's no personal attacks policy. Comment on content, not on the contributor; personal attacks damage the community and deter users. Note that continued personal attacks may lead to blocks for disruption. Please stay cool and keep this in mind while editing. Thank you.

Come on ... can't you even keep all of the chapters together?? (Deuteronomy is in 3 distinct sections, Judges and 2 Samuel both in 2 different places) ... at least make one section for each chapter, in some kind of order (either alphabetical, or as they appear in the Bible), and then make sub-sections for each verse discussed! —Dennette (talk|contribs) 00:26, 20 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit]I've struck out your name on the list of candidates as you do not appear to meet the eligibilty requirement of having at least 1000 edits. I will not revert you if you add yourself back, but you may want to bring this up at the candidate talk page before restoring. Thanks, — xaosflux Talk 01:44, 8 November 2006 (UTC)

List of esoteric subjects in Foucault's Pendulum
[edit]Hello, ShadowyCaballero. No, it was not moved to the Wikipedia namespace as far as I know. The only reason to do that would have been to make sure that we have articles on every topic that deserves an article. The list would have been deleted once all the articles were written. I undeleted the article temporarily and then moved it to your userspace. It is at User:ShadowyCabal/List of esoteric subjects in Foucault's Pendulum. I do not think there will be any objections to having the list there, but you may want to store an offline copy anyway in case there somehow is an objection or Wikipedia userspace policy changes. If there is anything else I can do, please leave a message on my talk page. I am editing sporadically lately, so it might be a while before I get back to you. -- Kjkolb 16:09, 16 July 2007 (UTC)
Blanching links
[edit]Hi, there are some links to Blanching on some of your user pages. This is now a disambiguation page, and the old content is at Blanching (cooking), but I hesitate to edit your user pages. Nadiatalent (talk) 14:44, 14 February 2010 (UTC)
Unreferenced BLPs
[edit]Hello ShadowyCaballero! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot notifying you on behalf of the the unreferenced biographies team that 1 of the articles that you created is currently tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring this article up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 2 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:

Speedy deletion nomination of Moistboyz
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Moistboyz requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. OlYeller21Talktome 03:52, 7 December 2013 (UTC)
Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
